You'll never find a straight answer...
How did the egg get there? If there wasn't a chicken already that laid it there in the first place? Now how did the chicken get there if there wasnt an egg first?

well then vote who cares....................also prehistoric beasts could of had mutation after mutaion untill it finally evolved to a chicken thoughi dont belive it was the t-rex thats seems so far fetched well maybe after a million years of selected mutation but still odd well anyways....yup....well i hope everyone one votes on at least something

I think the chicken came first, if you think of it in that evolution everything started of as really small organisms then just evolved into different creatures so technically the bird would have to come first.

Some say God created the Earth and brought animals into the planet. Not chicken eggs, the actual animal itself. Creating an egg would be like randomly placing a pig fetus in the world..the egg cannot hatch by itself, it needs a mother.
Some can say that the egg came first from genetic mutation. One bird could have laid an egg but instead of the birds species coming out, a chicken was hatched. Even in this scenario, it can be argued whether the chicken came first or not.
My best bet is to give a guess, no one can be right or wrong here. Chicken all the way!

I'm not into chicken-love. I prefer to stick in my own species thank you. Anyway, I don't see how the opinion between which came first: the chicken or the egg, has anything to do with being cool.
